Ellen R. Werther has more than 35 years of experience in complex, high-value commercial litigation in federal and state courts throughout the country. Ms. Werther has handled a broad range of such cases, including consumer fraud, commercial torts, lender liability, veil piercing, bankruptcy, and class actions. She has litigated commercial actions in a wide variety of industries and developed an impressive track record of recoveries for her clients in complex, multiparty cases where significant financial interests were at stake.

Ms. Werther received her J.D., cum laude, from the Harvard Law School in 1979. She attended the London School of Economics and earned her B.A. from Cornell University, Phi Beta Kappa, in 1976. Ms. Werther is a member of the Bar of the State of New York and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

She is a member of the New York City Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association of New York.
